dubai — A climate project launched by the UAE on Sunday will aid people displaced by natural disasters around the world and reduce climate change risks. The two-year project will help 10 million people by 2020, a minister said on Sunday.

The joint initiative between the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will help countries share knowledge on coping with climate change.

During the World Government Summit in Dubai, Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, said: “Natural disasters mostly impact women and youth. The project will improve engagement and decision making when it comes to this segment.”
