Mr. V A Prabhu
V A Prabhu is a certified Public Procurement Consultant and Trainer with the World Bank. Prabhu is a professional with wide experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Distribution, Procurement, Warehousing and Sourcing. He has worked for blue chip companies like BPL, Modi Xerox, Sony India, Viom Networks etc. He has done his B. Sc. in Physics from M S University, Baroda. He has also done a Diploma in Supply Chain Management from CII. He is a member of Indian Institute of Materials Management.
During his stints in various companies, he has worked on various projects on Inventory Optimization, Cost Reduction, Transportation Streamlining and Warehouse Improvisation. He was the core team member in implementation of SAP MM module in Sony India – an implementation which was done in a record time. He has trained a batch of women entrepreneurs on Operation Management for the Goldman Sach 10K program. He is a speaker at seminars on Supply Chain Management.

Mr. Laschar
Mr. Laschar superannuated from the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Govt. Of India, where as a Senior Economic Adviser, he was heading the Office of the Economic Adviser. This Office has a standing of over six decades and renders advice on policies that impact the Industrial Development and Investment Climate.
He has a Masters degree in Commerce, Masters degree in Economics and has pursued Development Economics at the University of Glasgow,UK at the Post Graduate level. In addition he has had specialized training in Financial Analysis at the International Monetary Fund, both at Washington,DC and Singapore.
He has had opportunity to work as a Consultant to the “Institute of Public Enterprise”, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India for 4 years, where he dealt with Research, Consultancy, Teaching and training. He has also been a Consultant to the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER).
He was a member of the Core Group for the Asian Pacific Region, for the International Comparison Programme (ICP),Leading to PPP(Purchasing Power Parity, comparisons),which was done under the aegis of the Asian Development Bank in 2007. He was Member Secretary of ‘The Working Group on Fertilizers” for the Xth Five Year Plan Document. Further as Senior Economic Adviser, he was the Nodal Member for the Working Group for Revising the base of “The Wholesale Price Index”(base 1993-94). He was a Member of the “Advisory Committee of SEBI on Primary Markets’, representing the Ministry of Finance .He has also presented “Technical Papers” at International Seminars both in India and Abroad, relating to Development Issues .
His work experience has been varied covering Government, on Government and Corporate Sectors. In the Government, Mr. Laschar, has had a long stint in the Ministry of Finance (Deptt. Of Economic Affairs),He was also posted in the Department of Banking ;The Economic Division; The World Bank and IMF Division and the India Investment Centre. While posted in the Ministry of Home Affairs(for over 5 years),he was a Member of the Special Selection Board for the Selection of Dy Superintendents of Police(DSP)in Central Police Organizations like BSF,CRPF.ITBP & CISF. He has had opportunity of representing the “Election Commission of India” as an Election Observer for Elections in Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh.
He has had opportunity to be on the Board of Directors of many Companies, such as: Loss Prevention Association of India, GIC Housing Finance, Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (RBI), Independent trustee on the Board of GIC Mutual Fund.He was on the Board of PNB-Principal Insurance Advisory Co Itd including having chaired its Board meetings. He has also been on the Boards of many Public Sector Banks & PSU like: Corporation Bank, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, Sate Bank of Indore, National Fertilizers ltd, Fertilizer Corporation of India ltd, Fertilizer and Chemicals Travancore Ltd (FACT), Pyrites Phosphates & Chemicals ltd, Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation ltd, Jodpur Mining Company etc .
He was the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Ltd for two years. Presently he is Member of the Planning Commission of Chattisgarh state.
Since superannuation in Sept 2007,he has been associated with the following assignments: Member of the Task Force on MOU for the Central Public Sector Enterprises(CPSE’s) CPSEs,set up by the Deptt of Public Enterprises, GOI. He has been in different Syndicate Groups covering Consultancy, Energy Sectors, Section 25 CPSE”S and Financial Services & Engineering, Transport Equipment and Consumer goods. He was an Independent Trustee on the Board of DAIWA Mutual Fund promoted by Daiwa Asset Management, Japan. He is on the Board of PNB Housing Finance, a subsidiary of Punjab National Bank and Chairman of their Audit Committee. He is on the Panel for Arbitration of National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), Bombay Stock Exchange and MCX-Stock Exchange Limited. He was on the Board of IFCI, its Audit Committee and Executive Committee for two years ending Sept 2010.
He was on the Sub-Group on Prime Contracting Model, on Industry –Stakeholders Interface on scaling up Skill Development Programme, for Rural-Below Poverty line Youth, leading to their placement. This Group was set up by the Ministry of Rural Development, GOI.
