The damaged/grooved concrete surface of PSC Sleepers below the rail shall be cleaned thoroughly after lifting the rails by hydraulic jack under traffic block condition where ever grooves are observed, all loose flack concrete shall be removed including demarcating & cutting unsound concrete with electric tool cutter ï¬nally cleaning with high pressure water jet of variable pressure so as to have a clean sound base concrete surface. The special AIECREET- III SG or equivalent as per speciï¬cation will be mixed with water- cement ratio 15-17% maximum as per speciï¬cation to make paste & ï¬lled the groove in PSC sleepers uniformly to maintain level of existing sleepers. A wire mess of 18 guage of correct size shall be inserted as reinforcement for strengthening of ï¬lled material & the setting time observed for compliance with complete procedure with all men, material, tools as per specification as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
