Expression of Interest are invited for Mapping Climate Sensitive Zoonotic Diseases and Non-Zoonotic High Threat Pathogens in India
The overall objective of the analytical service work is to conduct mapping of climate sensitive zoonotic diseases and non-zoonotic high threat pathogens in India using rigorous methodologies.
Specifically the work is expected to: (1) list climate-sensitive zoonotic diseases and non-zoonotic high threat pathogens; (2) apply well established disease prioritization protocols that incorporate uncertainty in expert option; (3) develop spatiotemporal suitability maps of top five climate-sensitive zoonotic diseases and non-zoonotic high threat pathogens across sectors by considering climate change over the next 30 years; (4) identify key risk factors for each of the top five climate-sensitive zoonotic diseases and non-zoonotic high threat pathogens, and (5) strengthen national capacity for disease prioritization methodologies and spatial risk assessment and risk mapping methodologies.
The analysis is expected to utilize rigorous methodologies and applications of tools including One Health Zoonotic Disease Prioritization Tool, prioritization of climate-sensitive zoonotic diseases using fuzzy analytical hierarchy processes, prioritization Tool for Climate-Sensitive Zoonoses, include quantification of uncertainty in the disease prioritization processes, methods for scoring the zoonoses and include a validation process to reach consensus on the priority list.
The Expected deliverables will include, (1) inception report on methodologies, activities, and estimated timeline; (2) a priority list of climate-sensitive zoonotic infectious diseases and non-zoonotic high threat pathogens for the selected states in India; (3) cross-sectoral suitability maps of top five climate-sensitive zoonotic diseases developed and climate change impacts on the distribution and occurrence estimated, and (4) a final report summarizing all the outputs, and the reference materials.
