The World Bank Intends to Appoint a Consultant (a Firm) to Carry out the “Market Assessment and Study for the Recycled Plastic Value Chain Diagnostics for Fmcg (Packaging) and Automotive Sectors in India with a Special Focus on the States of Maharashtra and Karnataka” (Defined as the“Project”). This Tor Outlines the Scope of Work for the Consultant to Conduct this Study for Fmcg (Packaging) and Automotive Sectors. The Objective of this Study is to Identify Investment Opportunities and Create Sound Business Cases to Attract Private Sector Investments in Plastics Circularity across the Value Chain of Fmcg (Packaging) and Automotive Sectors in India. This Study under Problue will have Particular Thrust on Identifying Plastic Circularity Options and Interventions Having Beneficial Impact on Cleaning the Ocean Shore. To Achieve the Objective; World Bank/Ifc would like to Initiate a Market Assessment Study Comprising a Market Survey and Diagnostics on Plastics Use; Standards; Value; And Potential for Recycled and Re-Used Inputs; Focusing on Private-Sector Original Equipment Manufacturers (Oems) and Major Manufacturing Suppliers; Including Linkages to Regional and Global Value Chains. This Study will Also Help in Identifying Techno-Commercially Viable Business Models for Upcycling of Plastics by Creating Cross-Sectoral Synergies with Automotive Value Chain Agglomerated in Clusters.
