Ported IV Canula should be with Vialon biomaterial which becomes up to 70% softer once inside vein and pliable for high indwelling time, biocompatibility and hemocompatibility thus reducing thrombophlebitis. Vialon biomaterial also ensures low platelet adherence thus ensures consistent flow rates. It should be Kink resistant cannula with an extremely smooth inner and outer surfaces, tapered catheter tip to ensure easy veni - puncture with minimum trauma .Should have super sharp stainless - steel needle with ultra sharp bevel needle .Should have transparent flash back chamber for immediate confirmation of veni - puncture.Should have snap caps to prevent of the accidental opening of the cannula. Should have removable vent cap.Should have flexible stabilizing wings. It should be of 20G.
