1. Overview1.1 BackgroundIpswich is the fastest-growing city in Queensland, with a population of 231, 000 which is projected to double in the next 20 years. It is identified as a principal regional activity centre in the Southeast Queensland Plan. The multicultural population includes people from over 163 countries of origin, with over 153 languages spoken.Ipswich City Council (Council), is calling for Expression of Interest (EOI) submissions, seeking a partner to undertake the design of a concept for a green energy precinct in the Nicholas Street Precinct (NSP).As part of the EOI process the contractor may be required to complete a briefing presentation to Council Officers with a concept design & technical feasibility for development of a Green Energy Precinct. At a minimum, the contractor will be required to for their presentation:• Conduct a preliminary analysis of ICCs existing physical, financial and energy assets within the precinct. Including but not limited to:o Baseline ICCs energy usage and costs across the precinct-s portfolio.o Electricity consumption vs available roof space and excess solar (if any).o Public and private BEV charging and opportunities.o Provide advice on suitable products or solutions that could allow Council to share energy within the precinct between assets.• Identify concept design option(s) that would complement Council-s commitments to emissions reduction & sustainability as well as support commercial drivers for the precinct.o The concept(s) ...
