Tender Details

The Metropolis is responsible for the collection and processing of Household and Similar Waste.

In order to respect the objectives set by Law No. 2020-105 relating to the fight against waste and the circular economy, promulgated on February 10, 2020, the Metropolis must put in place a solutionion of sorting at the source of organic waste by December 31, 2023. This involves better valorizing this organic waste, which today represents around 30% of metropolitan residual household waste.

To deploy sorting at the source source of organic waste on the metropolitan territory, severals additional modalities are planned, in order to offer solutions adapted to different types of housing:

- Shared composting: The Metropole intends to continue and strengthen the deployment of shared composting sites of citizen initiative at the foot of buildings and in districts. To date, the Metropolis offers a support system for collective composting as a citizen initiative deployed as part of the local program for the prevention of household and similar waste.

- Individual composting and vermicomposting: Individual garden composters and Lumbri-composters have been distributed to homes since 2018.

The Metropolis wishes through this consultation to experiment with the voluntary collection of organic waste from individuals and their recovery in habitats that cannot benefit from composting solutions.
