The work includes cable laying from Gilsbakki to the "Into the Glacier" tourism service at Hvítá, together with soil replacement for transformers. High-voltage cables are 3x25q 24kV about 12.8 km long, low-voltage cables about 360m, ground wire about 1, 400m or about 14.6 km in total. 12 substations and 2 junctions boxes are expected in this project. It is assumed that the project will start on 1st July and end on 6th September 2024.
