In 2019 the ISO-NOR ISO 18195: 2019 "Method for the Justification of Fire Partitioning in Water Cooled Cooled Nuclear Power (NPP) published". The project management for the standard was with France. In 2020, the takeover was requested as a European standard (s) from the responsible technical committee CEN/TC 430. From the German side (GRS, TÜV Süd), reference were made to technical defects both in the creation of the norm and when taking over as EN. Because of the objections, cen postponed a takeover as EN as long as the professional defects are not revised.
The aim of the project is to revise the ISO 18195: 20219 standard under German participation. The errors discovered by the German side and other correction proposals are to be brought in with the upcoming revision under the direct participation of German experts. Direct cooperation also enables the requirements that result from the German nuclear regulations (Sianf, KTA rules and selected DIN standards), to be used as far as possible to international standardization work in order to be a high degree of security ...
