Description:
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS), is seeking possible sources for the production of the 50mm xM1202 Target Practice with Trace (TP-T) cartridge in support of the Next Generation Combat Vehicle (NGCV) Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV). The 50mm TP-T is a full-bore training cartridge that will be used in the 50mm xM913 weapon system.
Specifications:
The 50mm TP-T will be procured to a Technical Data Package (TDP) based on a Detail Specification, and marked Distribution Statement D, Distribution authorized to U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. DOD Contractors only. The TP-T cartridge shall be compatible with the 50mm xM913 weapon system. Offerors must be registered with the U.S./Canada Joint Certification Office to obtain a copy of the specifications (See www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/ for instructions and information). Offerors should submit their certification via DD Form 2345 or register immediately.
Planned Acquisition:
The Government contemplates an award of two, five (5) year Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) production contracts. It is anticipated that the two awards will be made utilizing Other than Full and Open Competition procedures. Subject to approval, the U.S. Government intends on restricting Load, Assemble, and Packing (LAP) and cartridge cases to the U.S., its outlying areas, or Canada. The Government anticipates first article acceptance testing (FAAT) would occur within 10 months of contract award. Monthly deliveries of between 3, 000 and 6, 000 cartridges per contractor would begin within 12 months of contract award.
