Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 21, intends to negotiate a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price Contract for Karl Storz Urology Scope Lease, On-Site Endoscopic Specialist and Service Maintenance to Karl Storz Endoscopy-America Inc, SAM UEI: of El Segundo, California 90245-5017 in accordance with FAR Subparts 5.2 and 8.4
This acquisition is for the VA Southern Nevada Health Care System at 6900 North Pecos Road N. Las Vegas, NV 89086-4400. The proposed vendor, Karl Storz Endoscopy-America is the sole manufacturer of the requested instruments. This requirement is to directly set up, repair, troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and train VA staff on the Karl Storz highly specialized video integration and endoscopy equipment. This equipment is very complex, highly specialized, and is considered high risk due to its use in the Operating Room. No Third-Party company is authorized to provide repairs and exchanges, service, or parts for KARL STORZ products.
The Government intents to award a firm fixed price contract consisting of a 12 month base with four (4), 12 month option periods. The anticipated period of performance for this contract will be from 1 August 2025 through 31 July 2030. The contractor shall provide Karl Storz Urology equipment lease, Comprehensive Service Agreement and Onsite Endoscopic Specialists in accordance with the Statement of Work.
This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), requiring publication of the proposed contract action. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii) Contractors may submit a capabilities statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The government shall not pay for any costs incurred by responses to this notice. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement.
