UNICEF has now issued a Request for Proposals in order to select a supplier for the provision of a Long-Term Arrangements for Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Evidence Generation and Knowledge Management Services for the period of two years. IntroductionUNICEF works with governments, civil society organizations, and other international organizations to advance children's rights to survival, protection, health, development and participation and is guided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child. UNICEF strives to protect the rights, improve their health, and nurture their development through planning and monitoring. The aim of Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) is to support sectoral and cross-sectoral programming in both development and humanitarian contexts to achieve sustainable behaviour and social change. UNICEF- Tanzania continues to address inequities in the situation of childrenaround the world through the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and its accompanying Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs include efforts aimed at delivering concrete results for children, especially the most disadvantaged, in an effort to break the vicious cycle of inequity early on and propel us towards the fulfilment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.BackgroundUNICEF Tanzania seeks to establish Long Term Arrangements for Services (LTAS) related to Social Behaviour Change with vendors to expand the portfolio of services for behavioral and social science including anthropological research, surveys and assessment to meet targeted strategic needs. These strategic needs have been identified in consultation with the Tanzania Country Office (TCO) sector and field offices and in the review of strategic priorities as recently agreed in the institution and stated in the SBC Shift agenda. The LTAS are a vital component which has, in recent years, accelerated UNICEF's investment in developing both its internal capacity and the capacity of national partners in designing and implementing SBC strategies. The LTAS, along with pools of vetted individual consultants, increase the access of TCO office to top-notch SBC research and survey expertise to increase their capacity to deliver quality SBC research at scale. This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system.By clicking on the blue ‘Express Interest' button in the UNGM tender notice, the full UNICEF e-submission system instructions to bidders document (including instructions on how to access the tender documents and submit an Offer) will be automatically emailed to the ‘contact persons' included in your UNGM registration.
