1. Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. 2. Definition of the requirement Environment and Climate Change Canada has a requirement to provide a logistical base camp of operations for Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS) aerial, helicopter-based waterfowl surveys in the remote, Ring of Fire region of northern Ontario by providing sufficient Fuel Drums, CWS helicopter survey crew (4 people) accommodation (lodging and food) and use of a helipad for daily helicopter operations during the 2025 & 2026 Spring Survey Periods. This Work will increase safety and efficiency of CWS operations as well as advance migratory bird monitoring initiatives in the remote wilderness areas in the Ring of Fire mining claims region of northern Ontario. 3.
