1.0 IntroductionThe Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (“CATSA”) is a Crown corporation with headquarters at 99 Bank Street, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, K1P 6B9. CATSA is responsible for the delivery of consistent, effective and efficient screening of passengers and non-passengers in designated airports. Further information about CATSA can be obtained at www.catsa.gc.ca. 1.1 Estimated Standing Offer Value$1, 700, 000 excluding applicable taxes2.0 DescriptionThe Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (“CATSA”) has a requirement to establish up to twelve (12) Standing Offers (up to three (3) per region) for the provision of acceptance testing services of equipment for Baggage Handling Systems (“BHS”), Hold Baggage Screening (“HBS”), and Pre-Board Screening (“PBS”), on an as and when required basis for an initial term of five (5) years, with three (3) optional one (1) year extension terms.Bidders may submit a proposal for each of the four (4) operational regions described below, up to a total maximum of four (4) proposals in response to this RFSO. For the purpose of this RFSO, the four (4) regions, hereinafter referred to as “Region” or “Regions”, and are defined as: Pacific Region (British Columbia and Yukon), Prairies Region (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northwest Territories), Central Region (Ontario), and Eastern Region (Quebec, Nunavut and Atlantic Provinces).Each proposal will be evaluated separately.
