1. Background:
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a UK-registered charity that has been reaching out to the Palestinian
communities, striving to deliver health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation,
and displacement. MAP provides immediate medical aid to those in need at times of crisis, while also
developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare
system. MAP-s vision is of a future in which all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable, and
locally-led system of healthcare and the full realization of their rights to health and dignity.
In coordination with the Palestinian Association for Family medicine (PAFM), MAP is working to raise the
profile of family medicine in Palestine, educate patients and other health professionals, and represent the
specialty in discussions with the Ministry of Health and Palestine Medical Council.

2. Objective:
MAP and PAFM are seeking an administrative assistant to provide executive support to the Head of the
PAFM and perform the general duties that ensure the efficient organization of the association-s activities,
timely completion of tasks, and contribute to the association and administrative efficiency and
performance.

3- Scope of work:
• Schedule and oversee the association internal and external meetings.
• Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the association.
• Provide advice and answers general queries via PAFM email and phone.
• Manage and ensure the adherence of the PAFM website.
• Monitor and follow up on the association official social media pages.
• Responsible for serving as the focal point of contact for all activities.
• Coordinate for and follow up on the implementation of conferences and meetings.
• Carry out administrative and secretarial duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning
etc...

6. Duration:
The duration of the contract will be 12 months. Two days / 16 hours per week.

5- Qualifications:
• Excellent knowledge of standard computer tools including Microsoft words, excel, PowerPoint,
and adaptability to new ones
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Diploma, completed with a 2-year certification in a relevant field.
• Availability for a part time job/ two days a week for 12 months

6. Reporting and Payment Schedule: The payment will be monthly based on request for payment,
approved timesheet and progress report approved by the PAFM and MAP programme
manager/officer.

7. Ethical Considerations
The administrative assistant is required to adhere to MAP and PAFM policies and ethical guidelines,
including MAP-s safeguarding policy and code of conduct.
