BACKGROUNDThe World Health Organization Country Office Solomon Islands provides technical support to the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS), including the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy program.The MHMS has requested assistance to revise the nation TB treatment guidelines and conduct clinical training for clinicians managing TB and Provincial TB Program Coordinators. The objective of the training is to enable clinicians to provide quality case manage for active and latent TB infections, including Drug Resistant TB cases to national standards and assist TB Coordinators to improve programmatic management of TB cases, conduct active case findings, screening, follow-ups, diagnosis, and treatment.
