Brief description: In collaboration with NIVA, Statistics Norway will assist the project Hav for Utvikling (HfU) with competence-building in marine accounting in component 1. The HfU Indonesia project requests experience sharing from the MAREA project, which is led by NIVA. Statistics Norway leads one of the work packages for MAREA that HfU Indonesia hasr is in demand for more expertise sharing. In the MAREA project, the overall goal is to test and evaluate how nature accounting methods can provide decision support for the different planning levels in the complex and heavily stressed coastal ecosystems in the Oslofjord. NIVA's contribution will be to share experienceings from the ongoing MAREA research. In particular, the spotlight will be on the valuation of ecosystem services and the planning of new pilot marine accounts for marine protected areas in Indonesia. To the extent that the Client wishes, the Consultant shall also participate in other activities that are part of the project.
