The JG O-Donoghue Building has a configurable set of boardrooms (three rooms with removeable walls) with an integrated audio-visual system which will allow independent boardroom operations or can be switched to a large room with a common audio-visual display across all three rooms. The original room configuration and design was completed in 2017 using systems and software that were available at the time. The Government of Alberta has started migrating its boardroom audio-visual systems from a Cisco based system (as installed in 2017) to a Microsoft TEAMs based system. This project will modernize the software and hardware systems in the rooms to enhance operations and training capabilities of the space. The modernization will align how the multipurpose room(s) operates with the other meeting rooms in JG O' Donoghue. Specifically, users will bring their own mobile devices to the room and through a simple plug in, will be able to conduct TEAMs meetings and share content with meeting participants.a)Project Background - The Multipurpose boardroom in JG O-Donoghue Building was installed in 2017.
