Summary:Sealed bids are hereby solicited for construction of an Apron Expansion project at the Virginia Tech Montgomery Executive Airport. Improvements include demolition & removal, excavation and embankment construction, constructing new airfield pavement, new electrical items, erosion and sediment control, stormwater piping, and other ancillary work associated with the improvements. This is a unit price Contract. Bids will be received in the office of the Airport Manager, 1601 Research Center Dr., Blacksburg, VA 24060 until 11:00 a.m., prevailing local time, April 16, 2024. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. Bids will be open publicly and read aloud immediately following receipt of the bids. An optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held on March 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Airport Terminal building the address above. Bidding documents in the form of electronic files in “pdf” format may be obtained by contacting Nicole Kasey, WK Dickson & Co., Inc. nkasey@wkdickson.com.
