Tenders are invited for Analytical Foundations to Optimize the Brazilian Hydropower System.
The general objective of the consultancy to be contracted is to inform on the current hurdles and barriers for the modernization of hydropower in Brazil, as well as to identify ways to generate an enabling environment to spur the developments needed.For this end, after conducting a literature review on the role modernizing hydropower assets can have in supporting and contributing to a robust power system expansion, improving its resilience and assisting the country in achieving its decarbonization goals, the consultant team shall undertake three pre-feasibility studies for aging reservoir hydropower plants.
