Description
The 48th Contracting Squadron (48 CONS) at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, United Kingdom, seeks feedback from companies/entities capable of providing Asbestos Surveying services.The Contractor would be required to provide personnel, equipment, licenses, protective equipment, and risk assessment matrix required to perform asbestos surveys as described in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Contractor would be required to carry out full building refurbishment and demolition (R&D) survey, management survey, R&D survey of selected areas, or reassurance air sampling at United States Visiting Forces (USVF) locations within the United Kingdom (UK). A combination of these tasks may be required at facilities. The Contractor would be required to perform to the standards in the PWS as well as the current Final Governing Standards (FGS-UK), Control of Asbestos Regulation (CAR) 2012, series code 264 and 247 of the United Kingdom Health and Safety Guidelines (HSG).NOTE: The Performance Work Statement (PWS) provided in this RFI is a draft PWS only and is subject to change prior to the release of a formal solicitation.General Information:THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND IS BEING USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF MARKET ANALYSIS ONLY. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions and FAR 10.001(a)(2)(ii) which requires conducting market research before soliciting offers for acquisitions with an estimated value in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold.
