The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to seek out qualified vendors who have experience manufacturing Asphaltic Polymeric Insulating Compound (Tuff Seal).

This announcement is in support of market research performed by the Army Contracting Command - Rock Island to determine vendor interest and capability to provide the supply described within this RFI.

This RFI is for information purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any supplies, or for the Government to pay for vendor information received. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this RFI or any follow-up information request. Consequently, no solicitation is being issued at this time. Therefore, no award will be made as a result of responding to this RFI.

Vendors interested in this acquisition must meet the criteria for Federal Supply Code (FSC) 8030, Preservative and Sealing Compounds, Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 2891, Adhesive and Sealants, and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 325520, Adhesive Manufacturing.

This proposed requirement is for Asphaltic Polymeric Insulating Compound (Tuff Seal). Any potential vendor must be qualified prior to award. The Tuff Seal shall be in accordance with MIL-DTL-82633A.
