Expression of Interest are invited for Assinie Tourism Study.
A. Compile and generate Assinie tourism sector data:
a. Assinie tourism statistics (broken down by geographic origin and by tourism markets / sub-sectors)
i. Tourist arrivals monthly / per annum
ii. Average length of stay
iii. Average spend
b. Identify booking sources/channels for hotels
c. Assinie tourist profiles (business, single, young couples, family) for key tourism sub-sectors (such as MICE, eco-tourism and cultural tourism amongst others)
d. Assinie tourism connectivity (means of transportation to/from key origins) and relation to other destinations (e.g. tourism routes / circuits)
e. Tourism operator profiles (broken down by type of service hospitality, restaurant, activity operator, etc.), indicating profile and approximate sizes. For hospitality: number of rooms & Hotels broken down by category (star system), indicating approximate monthly occupancy ratio and average daily rate (ADR).
f. Key assets: provide facts and figures about Assinies key tourism assets, enabling infrastructure and services, available labor and skills, and security environment.
g. Enabling environment: list, describe and compile policies, laws, regulations, administrative practices relevant to tourism sector investments in Assinie.
B. Use the data generated to recommend tourism strategic priority markets based on an assessment of Assinies competitiveness potential.
a. Benchmarking Assinies tourism against key competitor destinations (for key markets).
b. Interpreting and expanding on Assinies top strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT).
c. Recommending priority markets (seeing most growth, whose needs are currently unmet, where Assinie is competitive and yield is high), highlighting potential partners, sponsors, and sites.
