Description:

The RFP is an invitation to submit offers for The Supply and Install of an Automated, Single Cell Sorter and Dispenser for Cell Line Development.

Biotherapeutics, typified by therapeutic antibodies (mAbs), have demonstrated exceptional efficacies on many diseases. Moreover, the therapeutic response of biotherapeutics can be also greatly enhanced by small molecular enzyme inhibitors.

Our goal is to obtain a system capable of sorting and dispensing single cells onto any substrate, with fluorescence detection, monitor colony growth and measure titers, enabling and automating sample preparation protocols in our workflows related to drug and antibody discovery.

The proposed instrumentation will be integrated into the multi-user Western Biotherapeutics Centre in the Department of Biochemistry at Western. This brand new research core will enable us to discover and develop first-in-class therapeutic mAbs, biologics, and inhibitors.

This instrument will allow us to isolate and prepare single cells for cloning and cell line development for biotherapeutics as...
