Rusko municipal library is investigating the location of public spaces outside the library(store, school) automatic bookcases or similar supply, pricing, features and operating conditions.
From the bookcase, etc., the customer can borrow the material inside the device with their library card and personal code number and, if the library so sets, also return aitems and pick up reservations.
The customer can familiarize himself with the selection offered in the device on the spot and make a borrowing decision based on it. The customer can see the physical pieces on the device. Because the book cabinet is connected in real time to the library database and customer register of the Vaski library collection, it is possible to define the setting of which Vaski library's materials are forwarded from the cabinet and to check whether the customer has borrowing rights.
The device may also have other featuresfunctions (on the screen) such as material recommendation, most reserved / most popular, restricted browsing of the online library, reserving material, giving customer feedback, contacting the library's customer service.
