The Science Museum Group is the world's pre-eminent Museum devoted to the history of science, technology, industry and Medicine. The SMG incorporates the Science Museum (South Kensington, London), the National Railway Museum (York), Locomotion: The National Railway Museum (Shildon), the National Science & Media Museum (Bradford), Museum of Science and Industry (Manchester) and collections stores at Blythe House (Olympia) and National Collections Centre (Wiltshire). The SMG has the status of a Non-Departmental Public Body and is accountable through the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport for the expenditure of its Grant-in Aid. It is also regarded as holding charitable and educational status. The SMG functions as an individual entity with the purpose of responsibility for the care and promotion of its collection and for the associated events and educational programmes.

Background

The Authority wishes to establish an Agreement for the provision of AV Integration for the Operation Ouch exhibition, the "Services". Under the SMG procurement policy, the Authority shall review all potential providers against standards of technical or professional ability and economic and financial standing details of which are covered in this document. Prior to commencing formal evaluation, Tender Responses will be checked to ensure they are fully compliant with the conditions of Tender.
