Avinor has an operational UTM system in Norway. This system authorizes drone flights at 17 Norwegian airports and is a basic "geo-awareness" service in the rest of the airspace. The current system will reach the end of its life in October 2025, and Avinor will replace this system with a new onesystem. The next phase for Avinor is to implement a new nationwide UTM system, which offers services both in controlled and uncontrolled airspace, as well as in and outside U-space airspace.
