According to the Federal Nature Conservation Act (§§ 20, 21 BNatSchG), a cross -border biotope network is created in Germany, which is intended to include at least 10 percent of the area of every federal state. The federal government is not sufficiently aware of the actual implementation status of the biotope association, which has been anchored in the BNATSCHG since 2002. The implementation contrary to the implementation in the individual federal states, which may have to be countered with the support of the federal government, cannot currently be named.
