This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement.
Background, Purpose, Objectives
The Vaccine Research Center (VRC) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) was established to facilitate research in vaccine development. The Vaccine Immunology Program (VIP), at the Vaccine Research Center (VRC), supports the development of novel methodologies and optimization of assays, along with immunological basic research for the attainment
of biologics and vaccines in the fight against infectious diseases such as Influenza, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Ebola, Corona-virus (COVID-19) and other infectious diseases. The Pandemic Response Repository Microbial/Immune Surveillance and Epidemiology (PREMISE) and COVID-19 response needs high throughput, multiplexed serological and cellular assays as part of one of its main objectives that will be supported by the VIP laboratory. The VIP laboratory (GCLP compliant), is fundamental in supporting intramural and extramural
clinical trials through method development and clinical sample testing with the generation of data for the advancement of treatments and vaccines for the above-named diseases.
Currently VIP has two Beckman automated liquid handlers and a Hamilton Vantage workstation to perform high-throughput testing. This request would be for additional workstation pipette tips for performing experiments on the workstation.
