NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT

INTENDED SOURCE: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (75N96023Q00075)

DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Breast Scan Interpretation Study

This contract action is for the acquisition of services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b) - Soliciting from a Single Source. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Office of Acquisitions (OA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Campus Box 3490, Mccol Building, UNC-CH, Chapel Hill, NC 27599.

Technical Specifications/Quantity: This requirement is for the reading and interpretation of MRIs, have PET imaging expertise, quantitate three-dimensional (3D) MRI-based assessment of total breast volume, total fibroglandular tissues, identify fatty vs stromal tissue, and determine breast density using digital breast tomosynthesis, automated whole breast ultrasound, or dedicated 3D-breast computer tomography in adolescent girls. metabolomics and SCFA data: Using the biospecimens available from the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (MACS).
