Context & Background
Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.
The Rural Entrepreneurs in Agri-Food (REAF) program aims at strengthening the business and product viability of innovative startups tackling sustainable rural economic development operating in South Mount Lebanon, Central and West Bekaa. The program will provide the startups with the tools to transform their ideas into sustainable and profitable businesses. REAF-s youth training will enhance their entrepreneurship mentality and entry into the job market.
The Accelerator Program's mission is to nurture and grow ideas, proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics:
An innovative approach to agri-food, eco-tourism, circular economy, and sustainable agriculture.
The possibility to scale in the local market and beyond that.
The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally.
OBJECTIVES
Empower startups (8 within this cohort) with the knowledge and skills to develop effective business plans.
Provide personalized guidance through one-on-one clinics to address specific challenges and opportunities.
Assist startups in creating a comprehensive business plan.
Scope of work
The REAF Program seeks a Business Expert to deliver the following requirements:
Conduct a full-day workshop on Business Plan development and the components of a business plan.
Work closely with startups to understand their business concepts, objectives, and target markets.
Guide startups in the creation of a comprehensive business plan, covering areas such as market analysis, financial projections, operational strategies, and risk assessment.
Provide expertise on industry research, competition analysis, and financial modeling to ensure the business plans are realistic and actionable.
Offer feedback and revisions to refine the business plans, ensuring they align with the startups' goals and the overall mission of the REAF program.
Conduct training sessions and clinics on business plan development for the 8 participating startups.
Conduct pre-engagement and post-engagement briefings with the Berytech team to align objectives and assess outcomes.
expcted Deliverables
Deliver a comprehensive full-day workshop on Business Plan.
Provide a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 20 hours of one-on-one clinics to the startups, with a distribution of hours as agreed upon.
Guarantee every startup creates comprehensive and actionable business plans tailored to their specific ventures.
Provide feedback and revisions to refine the business plans, ensuring they align with the startups' goals and the objectives of the REAF program.
Submit a written report to the Berytech team outlining the progress and status of each startup, including recommendations for further improvement.
Qualifications
The Business Expert should possess the following qualifications:
Experience in business plan development, market research, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey concepts effectively to startups.
Track record of delivering impactful workshops and personalized coaching sessions.
Experience working with startups or in the field of entrepreneurship and business development.
Knowledge of industry-specific trends and best practices related to agri-food, eco-tourism, circular economy, and sustainable agriculture would be an advantage.
Availability to commit to the program timeline and deliverables.
