Sligo County Council is looking to lease suitable properties for homeless accommodation in Sligo Town, Ballymote, Collooney, Ballisodare and Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, which is of required standard, accessible by public transport/on foot, for 1 year from September 2024. The assessment of properties and services will be based upon value for money, adherence to accommodation standards and the previous experience of the management service provider. Lot 1 - Supply of Properties for Homeless Accommodation in apartments, houses, hotels, guesthouses, or houses with access to bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, laundry facilities. Some of these facilities may be communal. Own bedrooms must be available for individual families. Some shared kitchen/dining facilities may be considered, as well as shared/communal laundry, outdoor clothes drying, outdoor play/recreation areas. This option is for accommodation providers who are not supplying management services. It is envisaged that the Council will match the successful tenderer(s) with those who can provide support and management services. The accommodation must adhere to fire safety, security and be of regulated size for the number of occupants. (See Appendix A) Lot 2 - Supply of Both Properties for Homeless Accommodation and Property Management Services This option is for the provision of accommodation AND management services to suit homeless families in the type of accommodation and locations mentioned above. Tenderers could submit a consortium bid with accommodation provider and management service provider.
