The Department is working to increase the number of passenger gates at Concourse B within the existing facility and has projects underway to make building and interior improvements for the expansion, including the addition of two (2) gates to Concourse B. Additionally, the Department is planning an expansion of Concourse B to the west, and desires to procure and install up to 8 additional passenger loading bridges with the future expansion. Furthermore, the Department is exploring the option to install one (1) additional gate at Terminal A.As more particularly described in this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Department is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to perform the Scope of Work set forth in the RFP, including the procurement and installation of Passenger Loading Bridges (PLBs) at Concourse B. These PLBs will support the Department-s planned two (2)-gate expansion noted above, which collectively is known as the Near-Term Augmentation Gates Project (Project). The RFP is a “best value” procurement, meaning the Department will select a successful contractor based on a set of objective criteria for evaluating proposer qualifications, with the resulting selection representing the best combination of price and qualifications. Furthermore, the selected contractor will be expected to participate in the SMForward program Owner-s Controlled Insurance Program(OCIP).The Department invites all qualified contractors interested in this project to submit: (i) a Letter of Interest (LOI) by the date of identified in Exhibit 1 of the RFQ to establish a single point of contact; and (ii) a proposal in compliance with the requirements of the RFP.
