Tenders are invited for Captioning Services
Vendor needs to provide captioning services.
- Provide qualified captioners with verifiable current Educational Communication Access Realtime Translation experience at the post-secondary level, preferably with an AA/AS Degree or higher and Shorthand Reporter License; Completion of Certification in CART and Court Reporting from a Court Reporting school; certification from NCRA (National Court Reporters Association) and identify the certifications received.
- Contractor shall be notified at least three days in advance for captioner scheduling at which time contractor will provide name and contact information of assigned captioner after provides their request. Perform routine quality assurance spot checks weekly per captioner.
- Must be able to provide services for all scheduled classes, events, and other assignments, as needed.
- Captioning is required regardless of student attendance.
- In the event of a cancellation, an emergency contingency plan shall be in place.
- In the event of two-hour or less cancellation, must have a contingency plan for transcribing digital recordings, with a turnaround verbatim transcription time within 24 hours.
- Must be able to provide team coverage for intensive classes of two or more hours. In the event that there are three or more students enrolled in the same class, the captioner will transcribe to a TV monitor or projector screen, rather than the laptop screen or other technology that provides equal access to three or more students in real-time.
- Shall destroy notes upon forty calendar days after completion of the semester.
- Transcripts must be provided within 24-36 hours after class meeting.
(2) All question must be submitted no later than February 28, 2024.
