Ceduna Swimming Enclosure Fixed Platform
Description :
The District Council of Ceduna (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of fabrication of a steel fixed platform and installation of this platform at the Ceduna Swimming Enclosure. It is requested that these works be costed as a fixed price / lump sum and tendered for collectively (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.
In 2018 Council built a swimming enclosure 18.5m off the northern side of the Ceduna Jetty. Access to the swimming enclose is via an aluminium gangway to a floating pontoon. Due to constant wave / swell actions from the sea, the construction of floating pontoon has on a number occasions suffered failures resulting in costly repairs. The fixed platform will replace the floating pontoon as the landing area for users of the swimming enclosure.
Council will enter into a contract with the successful Tenderer/s for the fabrication and installation of this fixed platform. This project will be funded from Grant Funding and under the guidelines of this funding agreement, construction and installation works are required to be complete before 30 June 2023.
