Expression of Interest are invited for CGAP Market Research to Solve for Young Women-s Financial Inclusion.

This assignment falls under the “Pushing the Frontier on Women-s Economic Empowerment through Financial Inclusion” project which is part of the Finance for Inclusive Development Pillar. The primary objective of this project is to fill knowledge gaps and push innovation frontiers on how financial inclusion can accelerate women-s economic empowerment and improve gender equality. Building on our work on diagnosing gender norms and on young women-s access to finance, CGAP will continue to partner with funders, facilitators, and market actors to identify and scale financial inclusion innovations that address these barriers and empower women to improve their access to income and assets, their control of and benefit from economic gains, and their decision-making power - from the very beginning of their economic lives.

CGAP-s Women-s Economic Empowerment through Financial Inclusion Project is a three-year project that will run from July 2023 to June 2026. It builds on the Segments & Insights Project under CGAP VI. The project will take a market development approach to address knowledge gaps in how women-s economic empowerment can be more effectively driven by financial inclusion interventions that address gender norms. The project has a special focus on scaling solutions that can empower young women as they go through life transitions and set them up for success in the future. We partner with FSPs, policymakers, support service providers and funders as they shape financial solutions to foster women-s empowerment through financial inclusion.
