Description

This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice.Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 5 is seeking to procure Confined Space Rescue Equipment for the Perry Point VA Medical Center. The requirement will support the medical center stay within compliance of mandates by OSHA 1910.146, permit-required confined spaces, sections 1910.146(k)(2)(i) and 1910.146(k)(3)(i) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1670, Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Search and Rescue incidents, current edition section 14; 7.1 and 4.4.2.The Government intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) and award a single Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to the responsible vendor whose quote is the most advantageous to theGovernment under the procedures in FAR 13.106.Market research indicates that this acquisition will be competed under a brand name only Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333923 - Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist and Monorail System Manufacturing (SBA Size Standard: 1, 250 employees). The Product Service Code for this action is 4240 - Safety and Rescue Equipment.To be eligible for award, an offeror shall be actively registered in the System for AwardManagement (SAM) at sam.gov, be classified as a small business under the NAICS code 333923 in sam.gov, and be an authorized distributor of Rock-N-Rescue, Petzl, Streamlight, and CMC Rescue products.All interested and responsible parties may submit a quote following solicitation release.
