Description : The University of Calgary intends to purchase a Leica Canada Stellaris 5 with WLL Confocal Laser Fluorescence Microscope, and resonance scanning system with an extended warranty. To the universities knowledge, this system has unique technical capabilities that are vital for CFI funded research project Visualizing Human Vascularized Organs-on-Chips to Understand Endotheliitis Diseases. The ability to integrate this Stellaris 5 system into existing data acquisition and analysis pipelines is a mandatory requirement. These additional pipelines utilize our accompanying research spaces within the university-s IMC Germ-Free facility and CL3 high biocontainment facility that already each house Leica SP8 confocal microscopes. The hardware and software must also be directly compatible with existing STED Stellaris systems without the need for additional 3rd party software or hardware, ensuring consistent protocols, techniques and research results.Details are included in ACAN document.
