At the Robert Frank power station, Haevern 1, 31628 Landesbergen, LK Nienburg, Lower Saxony, Statkraft Markets GmbH operates a 20 MWe biomass cogeneration plant (Bio I) fired with waste wood. This is now to be expanded by a second plant, also fired with biomass: LandesbergenBio II (hereinafter referred to as "LAN Bio II" or "Bio II"). The hallmark of this Bio II, which is to be newly built, is the ability for "multifueling", i.e. it should have the highest possible flexibility with regard to the fuel used on the basis of self-running combustion (highe Range of humidity, calorific value, ash content, etc.).
The project is divided into two main lots:
