General objectives of the work to be contracted:
Line #1. Construction contracting for the Monte Sión school, Huetar Caribe Region
In general, the object of the contract is described as “construction of three DIE-type classrooms,
monitor for 4 DIE-type classrooms, DIE-type sanitary battery of 72 m2, stove, dining room,
office/warehouse, access hall and guard, covered passage, Usure and complementary works”.
Project background:
● The project is located in the province of Limón, in the canton of Talamanca,
in the district of Bratsi, Monte de Sión.
● The project to provide educational infrastructure to the population of the Monte Sión School
has plans approved and endorsed by the CFIA. The project does not have
environmental viability issued by the National Environmental Technical Secretariat. The Contractor
will be responsible for carrying out all the studies and procedures necessary to
obtain the environmental viability of the project before the National Technical
Environmental Secretariat (SETENA), in accordance with the Regulations for evaluation, control and
environmental monitoring of SETENA [ref. Decree No. 43898 - MINAE-S- MOPT-MAGMEIC].
The construction of the Monte Sión school must be carried out in accordance with the plans and
specifications developed by the DIE.
