Institutional Capacity Building for Improved Access to Water and Sanitation in Port Sudan Project
The services included under this assignment are:
✓ Study and determine the gap between the water demand and the available water supply from surface
and underground resources of Arbaat dam and well field.
✓ Comprehensive assessment of the existing desalination 5 plants.
✓ Detailed study for rehabilitation of the five existing desalination plants adapting new design
technology requirements.
✓ Feasibility study of considering factors of investment cost, running cost, sustainability, capability
building, institutional and financial arrangements and undertake Environmental and Social Impact
Assessment (ESIA).
✓ Prepare an O&M Manual that guides the operation and maintenance of the five existing
desalination plants.
Plan and design the power supply system needed to operate the desalination plants and their Associated
Works based on the feasible alternative to be investigated as part of the assignment as per the
requirement of the TOR
The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Institutional Capacity Building for Improved Access
to Water and Sanitation in Port Sudan project now invites eligible consultants to indicate their
interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they
are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in
similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint
ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
