Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy/service Provider to The Author to Incorporate Country-Level Content Into the African Professionalisation Initiative (API) Accelerated Learning Programme for Liberia.
Deadline: 30 November 2023.
The AFROSAI-E has received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the African Financial Integrity and Accountability Support Project (AFIAP) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Consultancy/service provider to the author to incorporate country-level content into the African Professionalisation Initiative (API) Accelerated Learning Programme for Liberia. The African Financial Integrity and Accountability Support Project (AFROSAI-E Component), in collaboration with Liberian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (LICPA, Liberia's Professional Accountancy Organization) and the Controller and Accountant General of Liberia and the Auditor General of Liberia, is implementing an initiative to enhance the professional accountancy capacity in the public sector through the API Accelerated Learning Programme. Public sectors in Africa are facing a critical shortage of competent accountancy professionals, resulting in challenges such as mismanagement of public funds and dissatisfaction among citizens. The API was established to address this issue by partnering with countries to enhance the professional accountancy capacity in the public sector. This initiative aims to equip professionals with skills that contribute to effective Public Financial Management (PFM), including planning, budgeting, financial management, reporting, and auditing.
