The current hospital building of the Cantonal Hospital of Lucerne (LUKS) SURSEE dates from 1976 and no longer meets future requirements in terms of construction and operation. In order to continue to guarantee local, economical and high quality medical care, it is planned to build a new building for the Suprsee Luks. Due to the decision of the canton of Lucerne concerning the site, the new building for the Suprsee Luks will be made on the "Schwyzermatt" site on the outskirts of Sorsee, on the territory of the commune of Schenkon.
