Overview:
What we need
Wellington Water is on a journey to continually improve its cyber security posture, enabling the whole organisation to leverage new technologies across both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) systems while navigating the ever-changing cyber threat landscape. We are seeking out a strategic partner to work alongside our digital leadership team to continue to develop and deliver a cyber security plan that provides tangible improvements to Wellington Water-s cyber security capabilities. This Registration of Interest (ROI) is the first step of a two step procurement process. In this ROI Wellington Water wish to identify suppliers who will be shortlisted for the Stage 2 - Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the supply of cyber security related services. Those services may be provided by your organisation or by partnering with other providers (For multiple partners, please highlight the lead organisation).
What we don-t want
We are not seeking out organisations or vendors with a single focus on point-solution tools and systems that address a specific aspect of cyber security. We also are not seeking out the implementation of cyber security tools and systems (e.g. Security Incident Event Management or Security Operations Centre) without first establishing the fundamentals and clear rationale around how these can be immediately useful and fit within a strategic framework.
What-s important to us
Wellington Water is looking for a partner with prior practical experience in:
• supporting the ongoing development of fit-for-purpose cyber security strategy and roadmaps for similar organisations;
• advising on the practical steps needed to deliver the organisation-s cyber security roadmap;
• providing intelligence on the relevant threat landscape and recommended remediations;
• supporting organisation in identifying and implementing the right people capability, processes and tools/services to continually improve their cyber capability.
The activities above need to reflect our level of maturity. The partner needs to have the ability to flex their approach to changing context and priorities and scale up or down as required.
Why should you be interested?
Wellington Water works for our client councils and communities to provide safe and healthy water services. Fit-for-purpose cyber capability is essential to assuring a successful cyber attack does not compromise our ability to deliver safe and healthy water.
