Cp2410-23 Devon Car Club And Bike Club

Devon County Council is seeking to appoint a supplier(s) to deliver and manage a round-trip Car Share Club providing publicly accessible vehicles and a bike share club, initially across Exeter. The project will reduce transport carbon emissions, encourage shared travel, help inform suitable low carbon travel choices, be practical and be accessible to both the public and businesses.



This contract(s) will be let as a concession contract(s). It will be 5 year initial term with the option to extend up to a further 5 years.



Car Share - A single supplier to support the provision of the Round-Trip or "back to base" where vehicles are hired from a fixed bay and returned to that bay at the end of the hire period. The car sharing service will be open to all members of the public, the purpose is to allow members to book and hire vehicles which are located at specific sites within the City of Exeter and immediate area.



Bike Share - A single supplier to provide an on street public self-service EAPCs (Electric assist pedal cycles or 'e-bikes') share scheme to be used by residents, workers and visitors in the City of Exeter and its immediate area.
