The Customer is proposing to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement to cover The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), as represented by the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD), which manages Australia-s interests in the Antarctic and surrounding areas through the Australian Antarctic Program. The AAD has four permanent research stations in Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic. The AAD seeks to engage a Supplier withservices to the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD). More specifically, the AAD seeks to identify a Supplier who will provide : · Suitably qualified and experienced personnel to travel to AAD-s Stations to complete the specified works · any and all equipment and materials necessary to complete the works, and · a safe system of work related to the works (eg planning, risk assessments, assist with obtaining blasting permits, etc) For the purpose of : · completing a stocktake of the AAD-s explosives as held on station, · assessing the condition of existing magazines on station · thereafter transporting the identified explosives to an approved location near station, · disposing of the explosives by means of controlled detonation(s) subject to the requirements specified in such statutory approvals and or permits as may be required, · completing environmental remedial works as required (‘cleaning up-), and preparing a report on the completed activities More de...
