This purchase concerns Vestia Oy's area 17 sorting yard customer service. The customer service contract is divided into two different areas, the western area and the eastern area. Sorting yards have been completed in Haapavesi, Kalajoki (Himanka), Kalajoki (centre), Kannus, Karsamaki, Nivala, Oulainen, Pyhajoki, Pyhajarvi, Pyhanta, Sievi, Siikalatva Pulkkila, Siikalatva Rantsila and Toholampi and Alavieska, which will be completed in 2023. During 2024, two sorting yards will be completed, in Haapajarvi and Merijarvi.the following waste fractions: cardboard, paper, glass, scrap metal, wood waste, durable wood, concrete and aggregate waste, sorted and incineratable waste. In addition, the sorting yards collect household appliances, fluorescent tubes and electronic waste that are covered by producer responsibility as a service production producer contactfor dads. After the pallets in the sorting yards are full, the emptying of the pallets or containers and presses is ordered by the control room separately from an external contractor. The sorting yards also receive reasonable amounts of hazardous waste from households and businesses. Vestia Oy tenders ethe actual hazardous waste collection and processing service at risk.
