Design, Construct and Deliver new Daintree River Cable Ferry.The new ferry must be capable of transporting minimum 36 standard vehicles on a river crossing.The ferry design must also allow for transportation of multi-axled vehicles e.g buses, trucks and trucks with trailers, vehicles with caravans.The new ferry must be 4 lanes wide.The new ferry must provide for dual loading and unloading.The successful Tenderer must operate an Interim Ferry Service utilising Douglas Shire Council owned ferry from 1 July 2026 up until the commissioning of their new ferry.The successful Tenderer will operate the Daintree River Ferry Service from the date their new ferry is commissioned - approximately 1 December 2027 for the period of contract.The ferry must be capable of also accommodating pedestrians in a separate room to the wheelhouse (max of 6 people).
