The World Bank-S Africa Gender Innovation Lab (Gil) is Conducting a Randomized Controlled Trial (Rct) Impact Evaluation of a Childcare-Provision Intervention in the Democratic Republic of the congo.despite Women-S Important Role in the Agricultural Sector; They Face Many Disadvantages in Control over Factors of Production and Produce Less Per Hectare than Men. Gender Disparities in Agricultural Productivity are Compounded by the Fact that Women Face More Time Constraints than Men as They Generally Assume a Larger Role in Childcare Responsibilities; This Restricts Their Ability to Work on Their Farms or Supervise Hired Farm Labor. The World Bank Africa Gender Innovation Lab (Gil) Piloted a Community-Based Childcare Intervention with the Intent to Improve Women Farmers- Productive Capacity. As Part of a Rigorous Evaluation of this Intervention; Gil is Looking for a Qualified Contractor to Conduct a Follow-up (Endline) Survey of Program Beneficiaries and a Comparison Group. Approximately 2;500 Households will be Surveyed across 110 Villages. The Survey will Include Modules on Socio-Demographic Characteristics; Labor Force Participation; Income and Time Use of Household Members; As Well as Household Assets; Nutrition; Agricultural Production and Inputs; Early Childhood Development and Willingness-to-Pay Elicitation for Childcare Services. Prior to Administration of the Survey; Enumerators will Also be Tasked with Delivering Information regarding the Benefits of Childcare (Estimated at Midline) to Either the Woman in the Household or Both the Woman and Her Husband. Working under the Supervision of the World Bank; The Selected Firm will be Expected To: (I) Manage; Edit as Needed; And Translate Questionnaires; (Ii) Develop a High-Quality System of Data Collection; (Iii) Hire; Contract; And Pay Interviewers; Supervisors; Data Editors and Back Checkers; (Iv) Track All Respondents in the Sampling Frame; (V) Transmit Household-Specific Information to Respondents Prior to the Interview; (Vi) Collect Data from Respondents in the Sample Provided by the Gil Research Team Using Tablets; Including the Willingness-to-Pay Elicitation; (Vii) Organize Field Visits and Questionnaire Backchecks Throughout the Duration of the Survey to Ensure the Quality of Data Collected; (Ix) Deliver Raw Data to the Gil Research Team Every 3 Days Throughout the Data Collection Period; In a Format Compatible with Stata; (x) Deliver a Report on the Overall Progress of the Data Collection; Data Compilation; Backup Methods and Data Processing; And a Final Clean Stata-Compatible Dataset. Interested Firms should Provide Information Demonstrating that They have the Required Qualifications and Relevant Experience to Perform the Services. The Shortlisting Criteria Are: (I) Experience in Electronic Data; (Ii) Experience in Successfully Tracking Respondents over Wide Geographic Areas and Minimizing Attrition Rates; (Iii) Experience in Data Collection on Agricultural Outcomes; (Iv) Experience Collecting Early Childhood Development Outcomes and Administering Questionnaires to Children; (V) Experience Implanting Information Experiments; (Vi) Experience and Ability to Manage Logistics; As Well as the Required Equipment and Staff Necessary the Carry out the Survey; (Vi) Experience in Creating and Managing Databases; (Vii) Ability to Begin this Work as Soon as possible.the Expression of Interest may Include Brochures; Description of Similar Assignments; Experience in Similar Conditions; Availability of Appropriate Skills among Staff; Etc. The Description of Similar Assignments should Include Precise Information on Sample Sizes and Type of Data Collected (Quantitative or Qualitative; Indicators Included; Etc.).
